A 类和G类有哪些不同
A类的听说考试是一样的, 读写考试有一些区别
1)阅读的题型是一样的,主要是选材有区别
 A类侧重于科技类文章, G类侧重于生活类文章
 同时, 提醒大家, 并不是说G类阅读比A类简单, 我就碰到A类阅读能过六,但G类不行.
 因为现在G类的判断题越来越多,这种题型失分率高.

2)写作TASK 1 A类是图表作文, G类是写信

我是IT类学生，之前未参加过雅思，目前离考试还有15天时间。按照《剑桥2，3》的水平（个人感觉《剑桥1》有相当难度），目前听力和阅读的答对数都在30道左右。但是对于写作和口语没有把握，请问在有限的时间里如何对该两项进行冲刺并做出准确的自我评估？希望好心网友给予建议或解答。另外想请教版主的是：4月10日的讨论会将是一场预测讲座还是模拟测试？是否可以在讨论会上得到一份版主所使用机经的拷贝？谢谢！

体会

我刚考完回来，第一次考G类的，一直听说比A类简单，没花太多的时间复习。但还是很紧张，一直觉得考雅思，一半以上靠运气。但愿，我够幸运这次。
考试前一晚看了看听力机井，还好用上了，关于阅读，我没找到G类的机井，觉得不难，只要耐心和细心过6不是问题。写作格式有些不适应，以前没练过写信，话说的有些生硬，task2还可以。关于口语就比较郁闷，语速总是比较快，很容易出现语法错误或缺乏逻辑性。
总之呢，觉得自己的英语水平和两年前相比应该提高了不少，但雅思，最主要的还有练习。

说说我的经验，两年前刚来时考的A类6分，5月14日又考了G类7分，
个人感觉G类阅读确实简单，特别是对于有澳洲生活经历的考生，两年里我的口语和听力都有提高，所以说这三项六分是有把握的，听力不好还可以靠机经，口语没有5.5，怎么说也不会只得5分
剩下的就是作文了，尽管读master要经常写essay，但跟雅斯大作文还是有很大区别的，考前要在写作上多下功夫

为移民考IELTS的朋友请注意! 移民类考生是可以考A类的!如果你仔细阅读澳大利亚移民局的信函,上面也有清楚的说明.现摘抄如下:The test centre will confirm the registration and provide details about test arrangments, including the date and venue for the test. Please note that for immigration purposes,both the Academic and General Training modules of the IELTS test are acceptable.

It is wrong that government spends a great amount of money on artistic projects such as painting and sculptures. There will be another way to get the money. Do you agree or disagree? Use your own experience.
 
We have to accept that some artistic projects are expensive, which costs taxpayers’ money. But even so, I still don’t agree that government spends money on artistic projects is wrong. My reasons are as follows.
 
Firstly, artistic projects can fulfil human’s spiritual demand, making our lives more beautiful. As the society develops, people not only have material demands, but also have spiritual demands. For example, some people like watching movies, enjoying ballet, and other people like enjoying painting and sculptures. They are all spiritual demands. Even in the ancient age, the government could spend money on such projects, why can’t modem government do that? We are richer than before.
 
Secondly, painting and sculptures can make a city more colourful and enjoyable. When we are walking in the city <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Vienna</st1:City></st1:place> where an ample sculpture has, we all have the feeling of peace and happiness. If a city were full of skyscrapers and all kinds of vehicles without any painting and sculpture, the city would be boring. How can we live in a city like this? And in the meantime, some cities where have lots of painting and sculptures are always attractive scenic places, which can attract many tourists coming. 
 
Finally, some painting and sculptures are always a part of history, which is important to human being. For example, some sculptures about “Nanjing Massacre” in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Nanjing</st1:place></st1:City> remind people the pain the war brought to human. They people think about avoiding the war in the future.
 
To sum up, on one hand, artistic projects can make our lives more beautiful, and on the other hand, some painting and sculpture are also part of our history. So I think government should spend money in them.

“Equality between men and women” is a good topic forever. Whether jobs should be equally open for men and women, or should be suitable for men and women respectively is a controversial issue. From my point of view, I agree with the latter opinion.
 
I appreciate the equality between men and women. But we have to notice the fact that men and women have a quite different physical and psychological condition. In general, men are much stronger. So some jobs, in especial those are dangerous or need more strength, such as soldier, seaman, etc, are more suitable for men. Of cause there are some female soldiers in the army, but the quantities are much fewer. In submarines, female staff are even fewer, maybe none. If we ask for absolute equality, arranging some female staff working in a submarine, I don’t think it would be better for military operations. On the contrary, maybe it would cause some problems.
 
In the meantime, women can do better in some fields, because women are more caring and more considerate. For example, generally, young children in kindergarten like female teachers more, and patients would think female nurses more acceptable. And some jobs are traditionally suitable for women such as weaving, because women make few mistakes.
 
In conclusion, I don’t oppose equality between men and women. But we don’t want absolute equality blindly, ignoring the real demand of men and women. What we should do is to consider the physical and psychological difference between men and women, and the traditional understanding of society. Just let them choose what they want respectively.

Modern technology makes people more free time, but actually they find they are busier than before. To what extent, do you agree or disagree this statement? Give reasons with your experience. 
 
I agree that although modern technology makes us more free time, but we are becoming much busier than before.
 
With countless modern technologies shooting up, we are enjoying all kinds of conveniences they have brought to us. Most technologies are designed for saving our time. For example, before the washing machine was invented, you may have to spend 30 minutes to wash your clothes. But now the only thing you need to do is to put the clothes into the washing machine, which takes you only 3 minutes. And needless to say, how the computer helps people away from those heavy calculating work. Indeed, we all accept that modern technology saves us much time. But in the same time, we also find that most of us are much busier than before. For example, those people who work in the IT companies where the computer is a common use generally have to work over time. This is quite interesting. How does this happen?
 
I think the most important reason is, while modern technology makes us more free time, it also makes the pace of the society much quicker, which drives us work harder. For instance, the airplane saves us so much time on a trip, but because of this, our boss often asks us fly from one city to another city on a same day. 
 
And the other reason is, when new technologies emerge, we have to spend more time to learn how to use them. Computer is a good example. Although it saves us time, in order to use it well, we must learn different usages of different kinds of softwares.
 
So this is our embarrassing situation, while modern technologies are invented to save us time, they yet make us much busier. But we have to accept and get used to it, because we can’t live without modern technologies.

Should people spend much money on their appearance and clothes? 




Appearance is important for every person. A good appearance can give people a deep impression and make conversion become easier. Smart clothes can make a person confident and deserve respect from your partners and competitors.





There is no doubt that the pursuit of beauty is our nature and humanity. Everyone wants to display the best side of him. For instance, an elegant fashion and decent demeanour embody one’s confidence in business negotiation. Furthermore, fashion now has already become a flourishing industry, which contributes a lot to the economy and society, offering many job opportunities. The development of fashion promotes the prosperity and progress of the garment industry.



However, we must not lose sight of the demerits of the pursuit of appearance and clothes. Things that enjoy popularity are not necessarily good things. Aimless pursuit of appearance only makes one waste time and money. If a student cares too much about his clothes, he will astray from his study and be addicted to fashion pursuit. Be sides, some fashion designs only focus on styles, ignoring the appropriateness and comfort ability. Years ago, mini-skirt was so popular that many people follow suit. Actually, mini-skirts are not suitable in offices, schools and other public places. Therefore, a mature and rational person should have ideas of one’s own and should never be led by the nose. People should give priority to the development of characters and personalities.





In a word, we do not deny that the love of beauty is an essential part of human nature. Variety adds spice to life. A world without fashion is unimaginable. However, we should take a more critical attitude towards the pursuit of appearance and clothes. We shall never be slaves of fashion. The principle of dressing we shall hold on to is to be neat, tidy, clean, decent and convenient.

Nowadays it is a common phenomenon that high school and university students find some part-time jobs to do. But some people doubt about it. Whether students should do some part-time jobs or should stay in school concentrating on their study? It’s a controversial issue. For my point, I support that high school and university students do their part-time jobs.
 
Firstly, doing a part-time job can help them widen their horizons. Students learn lots of knowledge in school, but that’s not enough. Facing the complicated society, they still need more knowledge that can’t learn from the school. And needless to say, the knowledge from the society is often updated than that from school’s textbooks.
 
Secondly, doing a part-time job can enhance the student’s abilities to overcome difficulties. Undoubtedly, in comparison with in school, there are more obstacles and difficulties in society. In society, students have to deal with the obstacles by them-selves, which is a good training for their growth.
 
Finally, by doing a part-time job, students would understand the principle that one has to work hard to earn money. And also they would understand how hard their parents work to bring them up. As the saying goes, “No pains, no gains”. During the part-time job, they have to work hard to work hard to earn money. Most part-time jobs are hard works, such as working in McDonald’s or KFC.
 
To sum up, taking a part-time job is good to students. By doing this, they can learn what can’t learn from their schools. So that is the reason why so many famous entrepreneurs such as Michael Dell, the CEO of DELL, and Bill Gates had done their part-time jobs when they were studying in school.
