求拍:关于男女分校的利弊
[b][size=5]Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of segregated schools.[/size][/b][size=4]Nowadays, there are still a number of segregated schools in the world wild especially in western countries while coeducation schools have already became the main trend. Compared to schools mixed with boys and girls, segregated schools are more traditional and usually have proud long history, which attract attention of some people. However, having been a student of coeducation school for more than fifteen years, I think the disadvantages of segregated school outweigh its advantages.
The opponents of segregated schools hold the view that the students of those schools are more successful in academic studies because it is easy to administrate girls schools or boys schools and the campus problems are less than coeducation ones. In fact, the students of girls schools could have more suitable courses such as music appreciation, dancing and even cooking which could make them more elegant and skillful to be women in future. Further more, without the disturbing of puppy love affairs, they could put every effort on their academic studies. Though these advantages sound reasonable, the problems of these pure gardens which full of lovely fairies will expose after students graduate from school. It is a shock to an individual educated in an only one gender environment faces realistic world, which coexists both men and women. Undeniably, sexual interaction, which can not learn in segregated schools, is as essential as academic studies.
It is increasingly acknowledged that the uncommon environment supplied by segregated schools have negative influence on development of adolescent students. Psychologically speaking, the healthy attitude about sexual characteristics should be cultivated follow the rule of nature. Besides, the opposite gender can strengthen sexual sense of teenagers. Otherwise some deviant activities may appear in campus. For example, without any girl in the campus may lead a portion of boys to play girls’ role and such sexual deviation activities will be do harm in there growth.
Personally, I firmly hold that youngsters could be more healthy knowledge in coeducation schools while there are several advantages of segregated schools in administration and planning of curriculums.
