In no other times in history have we witnessed the powerful function of information technology .According to a recent survey ,people in increasing number ,especially young, are more likely to choose computer and accessible mobile phone which are fashion and effective way to communicate with each other. Consequently, it is widely accepted that the advanced technology will take the place of writing letters. Personally, high-tech will not replace traditional way but make it more precious.To begin with, nearly everything is controlled by computers and other electrical machines. It is the small computers that connected the whole world, which accelerate the speed of globalization .with the help of computers and mobile phones, companies have more foreign partners in business. New strategies are likely to be made by the vedio-conference, which is time-consuming and cost –effective. What is more, far-distance learning has become possible for students, from which they have the opportunities to share the internet resource and exchange ideas.
However, writing letters is a traditional way that handed down from our predecessors to express our thoughts . We can not deny the profound influence of high technology and it is true that computers can express concrete information, but we are easily moved and deeply touched by the letters. Only letters are tend to tell the true affection and respect from the bottom of our heart.
Finally, I maintain that technology will not replace the role of letters because they convey different information and feelings Besides, there are still a small amount of elderly people who prefer to use the traditional way.
