[size=12pt]Statistics suggest that nowadays an increasing number of crimes are committed by the young people. What are its causes and how can we solve this problem?[/size]

[size=12pt]In recent years, juvenile crime has become a hot-button issue. According to a resent statistic, it shows that the number of young people who commit a crime are increasing drastically. People have been attaching greater weight to this problem, because it may pose a negative influence on our new generation. In this essay, I aim to dig and discover the relevant contributing factors and bring up some effective measures.[/size]

[size=12pt]To my mind, an array of integrated causes contributes to this complicated social phenomenon. The first important reason is the increasing divorce rate. As a result of lacking the parents’ care and attend, the children who are brought up in a sole-parent family may feel isolated and disoriented, and even suffer from some psychological problems. Also the higher pressure of studying and employment from school and society makes the young students turn to extreme measures to relieve themselves, including crimes. In addition, the programs containing violence and pornography on TV are detrimental to children’s development. Some of them are likely to imitate the details in the programs due to their ignorance and curiosity, which may give rise to committing crimes to some extent.[/size]

[size=12pt]There are at least three aspects, of which we can resolve this thorny issue. First of all, it is essential for the parents to give their children more concern and emotional exchange. In this case, it does help to eliminate children’s rebellion, depression and frustration .Secondly ,the schools should try to enhance young people’s enthusiasm about studying instead of merely emphasis on academic performance. Moreover, strict censorship need to be imposed on the mass media by the government so that children will be far away from some obscene and harmful materials.[/size]

[size=12pt]In conclusion, if we do our utmost to provide the young people with sound social atmosphere and good family conditions, I am fully confident the juvenile crime rate will reduce sharply.
