Question: We can get knowledge from news, but some people think we can't trust the journalist, what do u think? And what do you think is the important qualities that a journalist should have?
News has been one of the most important parts in our modern society. We get much knowledge from news, while many people think we cannot trust the journalist. In my opinion, most journalists are credible but we still need to learn to get the information from more than one journalist, and then think by ourselves and try to make our own idea about the news.
As we all know, the journalists have no good qualities may make the news far from the truth or too excessive in order to satisfy the advantage of their own. If we trust them absolutely we will get the wrong idea about things which will be harmful to our work and life.
Admittedly, a good journalist must be sharp-mind and professional, but what is more important is to bear responsibility of society, that means he or she must give the true and external news to the public and lead the public to get the beneficial mind about things.
However, we cannot always tell the good and bad journalists apart, and even the news media themselves cannot tell them apart either as the bad journalist can also write excellent news which is not true.
In that case, the only we can do is to know more, to get news from more journalists, because most of journalists write news responsibly, when we know more, though a few news tell lies, but most of news can tell us the truth.
