Millions of dollars is spent on space research every year. But somebody says space research waste money; they suppose money should be used to improve life consumption. Write on your opinion, do you agree or not?
Nowadays, many industrial countries tend to spend millions of money in researching space. However, the opponents of space research suggest should be used to improve people’s life. As far as I am concerned, it depends on the situation of the countries’ conditions.
On one hand, research in space is a breakthrough in the history of human. It not only shows that human beings conquer the universe, but also bring other products to people’s life. For example, thanks to the space research, people can watch satellite television at home. Furthermore, space research provides people with rare metal from other planets. To some extent, this could release the pressure of energy. Also, living on the other planet may be possible one day. Humans have another way of life, which is a dream of many generations.
On the other hand, the opponents believe that so many people are suffering starving in the world. The huge amount of money should be spent on solving these problems. Moreover, the efforts and money spent on space are little value of money, even a kind of wasting money. What is worth mentioning, there are also a lot of casualties because of the experiment on space.
From my point of view, whether spending money on space research or not depends on the concrete circumstance of the country. If the country has enough money and efforts without people living the edge of starving, it is of course right to spend money on the experiments. However, if a country with many people starving, the government should work out these problems first rather than space research.
