<P>The first time when a astronaut arrived on the Moon, he said"It is a big step for mindkind." However ,some people think it makes a minor impact on our lives. Do you agree or disagree? (Use you own experience to explain)</P>

<P>Nowadays, space travel have brought about quarrels in public. Some people who support the project claim it to be a great step for mankind, while others argue that travelling outside, to some extent, do no good to human beings. As far as I am concerned, the disadvantages of space travel overweigh the advantages of it.</P>
<P>As we all know, space travel costs a large amounts of money. It is estimated that 200 million at least is the basic requirement to travel on the moon. And since then, only three people have made their step on it, which is "sponsored" by the generous military of the United States of America. Therefore, provided this kind of chance is given, even a billionaire will hesitate, think over about it, and finally give up.</P>
<P>On the other hand, too much expenditure on the travel means a kind of irrational allocation of the resources. Exploring the truth not only help us to extend the knowledge of human beings but also advance the universal technology as well. However, the fund would have had more effects on the basic construction if it were to be put into this kind of area. To some extent, space travel is a misusage of the resources.</P>
<P>Last but not the least, to travel in space calls for more cupidity of human beings, which is definitely a threat to ourselves. In fact, Human have gained the possession of the earth and conquered the land so far. But avarice is countless for those who have won enough.</P>
<P>As the factors mentioned above, there is no needs to put a large amount of money into the space travel which, to some degree, seldom benefits our real life.  </P>

<P 0cm 0cm 0pt">Space travel is considered by most developed countries and those aspiring to compete in the race for development as the last frontier known to mankind.But in my opinion it should not be advocated.<o:p></o:p></P>
<P 0cm 0cm 0pt">For the large expenditure,only several person can be the customer of space travel.Space travel can do little contribution to society.Compaired with social contribution,it’s more like a rich man’s amusement.There are many people who belongs to nations which have space programs question the expenditure involved in space travel when it’s apparent that money is needed to deal with many of the world’s existing problems,for example:enviromental protection like sustainable development and poverty that are always on the increase.<o:p></o:p></P>
<P 0cm 0cm 0pt">Self-centered and greedy are the man’s nature.Space travel may distend man’s vanity and many people will following suit.Extremely exploration will appeare in the space.All this may destory the balance and harmony of space.<o:p></o:p></P>
<P 0cm 0cm 0pt">Space is the forturne of all humanity,but only several very developed countires can support the programs and they may engross many mainly space resourse.this seems to be unfair in the worldwide.The unpeaceful of world may originate from this area.<o:p></o:p></P>
<P 0cm 0cm 0pt">Generally speaking, we need to realistically face the problems existing on our earth which are far more pressing and far more concerned with true development.And the aim of technology progress is to make a better world for everyone to live in ,not only for several top rich person.<o:p></o:p></P>

<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman">Travel in the space used to be a dream of human. Now it turns into a reality as a result of the technological advance. But it is also coupled with arguments.<o:p></o:p></FONT></P>

<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman">Indeed, the space travel is so expensive. According to the referring reports, it costs about 20 million dollars at once. As a result of its high expenditure, there are only three persons who have attended the space travel up to now. In contrast to the luxurious expenditure, there are still many people living in a lack of food and even water. Obviously, it is more economic to spend the money expended in the space travel on helping the poor.<o:p></o:p></FONT></P>
<P ><o:p><FONT face="Times New Roman"> </FONT></o:p></P>
<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman">But with more thought on this issue, we may reach a quiet different conclusion. First, the 20 million dollars are the price of the travel rather than the cost. In addition, the travelers were always sent into the space with astronauts who have their own tasks. Therefore the cost on the space travel is not as high as usually regarded. Second, the space travel is an issue similar with the luxurious expedition. Everyone has the right to spend their money free with the permission of the law and their behaviors should just be guided indirectly but not effected directly.<o:p></o:p></FONT></P>

<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman">In summary, the space travel is just individual behavior which is protected by the law. Although it is not economic with the consideration to the social wealth, it is a symbolic representation of the protection for the private property.<o:p></o:p></FONT></P>

I think is a good idea to a government. There are two reasons.</FONT></P><BR>

<P><FONT face="Times New Roman">At first, it is a drive to unhappy economic which is facing with <ST1:COUNTRY-REGION w:st="on"><ST1:PLACE w:st="on">USA</ST1:PLACE></ST1:COUNTRY-REGION>. Space tour will cost people a huge amount of spending which market only needed. And anybody who can afford that definitely would not be suffered from hunger. In another word, that sort of money is waiting in somewhere dark to come back to cash. They are dead who haven’t been used into life. Only we give people good reason to spend it that this part of money can take energy again to give an excitant to market. Space travel will be one of ideal reason. For example, aircraft industry earned more than hundreds billions for <ST1:COUNTRY-REGION w:st="on"><ST1:PLACE w:st="on">America</ST1:PLACE></ST1:COUNTRY-REGION> economic every year. It indeed helped.</FONT></P><BR>

<P><FONT face="Times New Roman">Second, it is a smart way to occupy the cleanest space road which is really meaningful in future. In the peace period, the competitions between countries are showing by resource having and others. Space is the next exchequer which earth left to us. And depend on the space trip plan the <ST1:COUNTRY-REGION w:st="on"><ST1:PLACE w:st="on">US</ST1:PLACE></ST1:COUNTRY-REGION> government will reasonably using the space access a lot and sign it. Likely the first people step on the <ST1:COUNTRY-REGION w:st="on"><ST1:PLACE w:st="on">America</ST1:PLACE></ST1:COUNTRY-REGION>; they may have the right to control it. </FONT></P><BR>

<P><FONT size=4>In the last 100 years, space exploration is becoming increasingly fierce. A number of countries have reportedly sent spaceships to the moon and several space stations, built by <ST1:COUNTRY-REGION w:st="on"><ST1:PLACE w:st="on">Russia</ST1:PLACE></ST1:COUNTRY-REGION> and United States, have been roaming in space. The developments of space technology never fail to fascinate common people’s attention, intriguing their curiosity to have an outer space tour as their own. Space travel, however, leads to fierce debate on whether it is impractical or worthwhile.  </FONT></P><BR>
<P><FONT size=4>It’s commonly believed that space journey, as is reported, is a luxurious trip provided for billionaires only, because the cost of the tour reaches $20,000,000. Many people blame this kind of behavior for it’s a great waste of money and resources. Throughout the world, millions and millions of people are homeless, still suffering starvation and disease due to the shortage of funds supported by others. It’s more practical and efficient to donate the $20,000,000 to those people who need help urgently.</FONT></P><BR>
<P><FONT size=4>Many people are deeply impressed by the fatal accident of Columbia Spacecraft which happened several years ago. Space technology, as it showed in the case, is still developing and leaves much to be desired. Outer space travel is undertaking high risk, especially when something unexpected happen, the loss will not only be the money, but also the shock of confidence to common people and breaking of families as well.</FONT></P><BR>
<P><FONT size=4>To some degree, attraction from space trip reflects human natures— a strong conquering desire and curiosity for challenging new things. We set sail on this new area because there is new experience to be tasted, new rights to be won and new technology to be gained, and they must be won and used for the progress of all people. For space travel, it is not the proper time to be conducted. Instead of doing this, we should be focusing on how to fix the one we live on.</FONT></P><BR>
<P><FONT size=4>From the demonstration above, while space travel is fascinating, I don’t think it is the right time to do so.</FONT></P>

<P><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>Space traveling was reported so many times recently. Newspaper said that, so far, three people, having spent billions of money, had experienced an exciting journey to the moon. And it seems that there are quietly numbers of rich people who are going to follow suits. However, is it necessary for such an expensive activity to be advocated?</FONT><BR></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>Human beings have ambitions, in which space traveling is also involved, to conquer the nature. But seldom have any people thought about the cost for the very achievement. Firstly, it needs several scientists to study on the theory and technology for space traveling. Secondly, uncountable money has to be invested on the very research. At last, materials and other resources to sustain the project are also astronomical. How a luxury it is!</FONT><BR></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>Obviously, space traveling cost us so much. And how would it be if we had assigned those resources to do something else, such as humanitarianism? According to the census by United Nation, several people in some less-developed or developing countries are lack of food and fresh water, short of medical drugs, and are living with no rooms till now. If more money had been allocated, and more specialists had been dispatched to aid those poor countries, our world should have been more harmonious and beautiful. So how can we allow the minority to waste the resources of the society on such costliness as space traveling, whilst facing large mount of people who are in an abyss of suffering?</FONT><BR></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=3>Affirmatively, we human beings have not been rich enough to boil water by burning cash papers. We should value our limited resources and use them to improve our life other than to develop a costly space traveling. <O:P></O:P></FONT></FONT></P>

<P><FONT face="Times New Roman"><STRONG>Having a universe travel may be someone’s dream. But it is really a luxurious experience for the cost is too much for most of the people. So should we spend so much money to travel in space? In my opinion, it is hard to decide.</STRONG></FONT></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman"><STRONG>It is a natural of human to get a stimulation in order to relax himself. With the rapidly development of the whole world, many people will not be satisfied with the normal life so it is a certainty for them to attempt something new in their life for entertainment and relaxation.</STRONG></FONT></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman"><STRONG>Travelling to the space also expresses a best wish to explorate the world unknown. From someone who lit a fire by friction of two stones to the brothers who invented the first plane, our human beings never stop the footstep of exploration. And now we put our focus on the out space. So I think no matter space travel is done by scientists or indivaduls, it is a wonderful thing we should do.</STRONG></FONT></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman"><STRONG>But some people have opposite views on space travll. As we know, a society which has a large amount of middle class will be more peaceful than a society which has a lot of poor people. In  this case, some say that we should use money used to space travel to help the poor who are one of the unstable factors of the society. </STRONG></FONT></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman"><STRONG>In conclusion, it is really hard to decide whether to launch a space travel projects or not. If we put more focus on the exploration, it is a good thing to travel in space though it cost a lot.</STRONG></FONT></P></DIV>
