| 得到自己想要的几个QUESTIONS后,第二步就是
Presentation from research question to hupothesis:

The job of research is to test answers to research questions. The next step, after finding a good question, is to think of an answer to be tested.
There is a special name for the answer tested.
It's called a hypothesis. (The plural is "hypotheses".)
This activity shows how to develop a hypothesis from a research question.
A hypothesis is a statement that describes the result expected by the researcher and can be tested against evidence gathered in the research. The hypothesis is the main focus of any research project.

The hypothesis must be even more precise than the research question. The hypothesis must break the research problem into elements that are clearly defined and scientifically observable and specify a particular relationship between them.

The three most common types:

1.Difference hypotheses identify some sort of difference between two groups of people or things, or between two situations.
Children who watch TV every day have more friends at school than children who are not regular TV viewers.

2.Connection hypotheses state that two things are connected in some way.
The number of friends that children make at school depends on the number of hours of TV that they watch at home.

3.Null hypotheses are where there is no difference or no connection.
There is no difference between the number of friends made by children who are heavy TV viewers and the number made by children who watch none.
There is no relationship between exposure to TV and ability to make friends at schools.

其实这上面三点在阅读理解中也是抓段落大意的关键,这三种方式体现的作者的写作的三种态度哦 |
