On the contrary, I am intensely against this idea and doubt, whether what we learnt through the study is nothing more than a score that reflects? Absolutely it isn’t.. Education is just like an all-round construction process that describe every step about the study.</FONT></P>
<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=4>  First of all, being a little child and completely innocent of the world, one has the desire to learn and gradually cultivate the interest in study. In one sense, this is, as we all know, the first step that education stimulates our desire for learning. Compared with the system before-school children has, education has a systematic construction of all branches of subjects, therefore it leads us to an extended world named treasures of the knowledge. It is, undoubtedly, hard not to be immersed in such kind of situation in which education is everywhere.</FONT></FONT></P>

For example, someone is told to read intensively while, as he becomes mature, instructed to learn the way of extensive reading. The score is only a reflection of your ability to absorb the knowledge, but not a representation of the capability to apply it. In a word, the most important is to practice the brain and let it focus on the application of the knowledge, which is the ultimate function of education.</FONT></FONT></P>

<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman">In recent years, more and more people begin to join the discussion about the value of education regarding as the foundation of a nation.  Some people believe that the main value of education under the fierce competition is to teach academic subjects which will benefit for the future careers.  But I believe that the real value of education is to nurture people with high quality and all-round development.</FONT></P>

<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman">First, education needs to provide the vocational skills to people living in the fierce competition environment. So school should teach children some academic subjects to help them gain the basic knowledge for the future careers and their future life.  We have to ensure satisfying the children’s living demands when they grow up.  This is only a basic value of education.  We cannot regard the basic one as the whole definition of the value of education.  </FONT></P>

<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman">Second, the value of education is also showed in another way: strengthen children’s physical health and the appreciation of beauty.  In order to achieve this goal, school needs to set about other subjects, such as music, sports, art and so on.  There subjects can enhanced greatly their health level and appreciation of life in order to help them gain all-round development. Sometimes this kind of ability is more important than skills given by academic subjects as the key factor of success for one person is always one’s attitude and other psychological elements rather than professional skills.</FONT></P>

<P>  Can you deny the fact that a preson's education is the one of the important aspect of his life? Besides abilities and diversiform knowledges,education has more meaningful function to the human being.It is partly a means by which students can retrospect the history of ideas, beliefs, and values people held in the old days.However, the ultimate purpose of education is far from that.It serves as a way for us to perceive the world, and eventually change the world to be better.<BR>  Admittedly, one of education's functions is to remind us of the occurrences happened in the past. For a student, a scientist, an economist, a politician and so on,who wants to achieve the top of career, primarily should retrospect the experience of forefathers. Just in this way, he can know what should be down, what has been down, and what is about to be correct,take the great scientist Isaac Newton for example,who once admitted that the reason of his success is he had standed on the shoulder of the famous precedent. It is the same with the first chairman P.R.China Mao whoes experience also comes from studying of the successful Soviet Revolution.<BR>  Moreover,education should not be confined in the cognizant circumscribes. It require us to cultivate our own skills of thinking and analyzing. After all, the future you stepped into is so different from you entered yesterday.Thus the majority of people believe that education is a life time study.the society is beginning to realize that education is not complete with graduation.Even the best possible graduate needs to continue learning before she or he becomes an educated person.<BR>  In sum, the function and impact of education in our society are much more complex than general. Without the development of education, our knowledge would become stable and exanimate.</P>
