<P><FONT face=幼圆 size=3>As the talent has played a far more important role than it was in any period of history, people become caring about the real functions of education.What is the true value of education? In industrial societies, education is largeky a matter of schooling-formal instruction under the direction of specially trained teachers.For individuals, this kind of schooling will transmit knowledge,skills as well as morals.As to the goverments,education has been used as a means of social control.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=幼圆 size=3>Common process of education is to teach students academic subjects together with music,sports and art.Such schooling aims to let the students know this world,master certain skills and know how to survive and produce better life. Academic subjects give the students sound minds and useful skills, music and art grant them inspirations ,and sports give them sound bodies. Usually, there should be a balance among the three which can leads a all-around development of the students. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=幼圆 size=3>Besides skills and knowledge, education should be responsible for the mental health of the students.That means,morals ,which is an essential part of a complete personality. We can imagine  a clever young people who gains a large amount of Hi-tech science and skills at school but with low level of morals.What would he do when he grows up and could not find a satisfactory job?  Much likely would he commit Hi-tech crimes such as commercial crime through the Internet and creating Amber wetsites to gain money. Therefore, when education ignores the morals of the students ,it leaves potential threats to the future society. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=幼圆 size=3>The third function I want  to consider is , education as a means of civialization and social control. The use of education as way of reducing social inequality or as a means of reproducing social inequalities, and lastly the possibilities of education being a benefit to the individual or to society economically.  The values created by individuals aggregate to become the sources of society ,and these sources can be seen as results created by education indirectly.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=幼圆 size=3>In conclusion, education is signifacant and essential to the development of individuals  and the society as a whole.</FONT></P>

Do you believe that the process of being a person in deed can be accomplished without education? Education which can abstract a person from a state of natural obscuration and actualize the civilization, has its unimaginable function and value to both the individual and society.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>
<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=5>   First of all, education in early childhood to form a child’s mind is indispensable of a child’s growth. As all we know, childhood is a critical time for children to develop the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive skills they will need for the rest of their lives. Because of lacking the ability of distinguishing between right and wrong, children always imitate the action that adult often do no matter it is good or bad. In the case of this, being educated of good manners seems to be the most important. I believe that good start, grow smart.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>
<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=5>   Secondly, education has always been a fundamental part of achieving a person’s dream. The academic subjects and other subjects such as music and sport which have been taught by teachers are beneficial to a student’s future. A lot of examples we’ve seen in the television show that an educated citizen is more likely to hold a good job, escape poverty, own a home, start a business, be free from crime, and participate in the democracy.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>
<P ><FONT face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=5>Finally, education is a project which has great relationship with the existence and development of a society. Developing a society can not be separated from not only the material condition but also the cultural and ethical condition. Generally speaking, the higher the degree of being educated is, the better the condition people can create. Further more, education also makes the society harmonious by reducing the percent of crime. It is incontestable that a country which has highly developed culture and fortune can exist easier. <o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>

In my opinion, the kernel of education’s function in current society should not only bring up students with high-mark, but also develop them with high quality and ideological level.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>
<P  align=left><FONT face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=5>People have both ability and integrity could push the society make progress in a proper and correct route. The old module of education system, such as taking mark as the centre of judging the ability of a person, pursuing material benefit, mislead people only focusing on the present but neglect the future. It is unfavorable to both individual and society.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>
<P  align=left><FONT face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=5>The promotion of the multiple qualities could arouse the potential of people, thus improve the students` creative ability. <P>What is the value of education? Is it merely teaching children fundamentals thus fitting them into pigeonholes of academic subjects? As far as I am concerned,it is education that makes us more competitive in job-hunting,it is education that incentives people to fulfill themselves,it is education that makes a civilized society.</P>
<P>To begin with,education is clearly linked with earnings and employment,for both men and women and across different age groups.Most successful people distinguished themselves in the society after receiving a formal university education,which fostered them a sense of competition and cooperation.For instance,a college degree yields a sizable income which is about 75% more than a high school grad does,let alone the postgraduates or doctors.</P>
<P>More importantly,paving the way for self-betterment,education stimulates people to push themselves towards greater achievements.I shall speak my first teacher because in addition to the knowledge, she brought curiostiy into us so that we could appreciate that there is more in our conventional day-to-day existences.Through constantly inquiring,constantly observing,constantly learning,we build up self-confidence,self-awareness and a feeling of self-worth.</P>
<P>Further more,only by means of education can we develop a civilized society.In other words,education goes to the core of the civilized society ,inherent in the concept of which,is the determination to always strive to improve society.These days,without educationm,we cannot breath clean air,we can not drink clean water,we cannot communicate with our neighbours.Without education even these simple life-affirming needs can be out of our reach,our goal of civilized society will certainly remain outside our grasp.</P>
<P>In conclucion,I believe that the value of education,is to arouse people's potential to achieve more,to consolidate itself the foundemental pillar of the sturcture that helps to make society civilized in the first place.</P>

In addition, a person who is not born to be lazy bones would enjoy himself in learning. Knowledge is the only thing that how much you paid, how much you gained.<o:p></o:p></B></P>

Even more, we could catch inspiration from these subjects, which has been showed in the examples of great scientists and leaders. Another point, what will you do in free time? If drawing skills was available, you could draw these beautiful flowers down. Singing out is also a good idea. Anyway, from these activities, you could find more friends, but not just colleagues or schoolmates. <o:p></o:p></B></P>
