New student visa application arrangements
From 1 September 2003, citizens of the People's Republic of China who are in New Zealand must lodge their student visa applications with the Offshore Processing Centre in Adelaide, South Australia.
The Australian Consulate-General in Auckland will no longer be accepting student visa applications from PRC citizens from this date.
This arrangement does not include Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macau Special Administrative Region passport holders.
Where to send visa applications
Citizens of the People's Republic of China who are affected by the new arrangements may send their applications by mail to the following address:

Applicants who are granted a student visa will be advised to forward their passport with a copy of the grant letter to the Australian Consulate-General in Auckland for evidence.
Paying the visa application charge
The visa application charge must be payed in Australian Dollars. Payment may be made by:
credit card
cheque
money order

Information for education providers
Education providers are requested to choose Adelaide as the destination when issuing an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE).
It is intended that a discrete Adelaide Offshore Processing Centre destination for eCoEs will be established in PRISMS and DIMIA systems by the end of the year. Further advice will be provided when this occurs.
