In the first ALS class, after the test of note-taking, teacher donot given the answer but ask us to discuss about the note questions. She told me I can discuss with my friends by a group. We gather round and started. I talked about my opinion to the other, heard about their answer carefully. when I heard my friend allen have a different answer, I move my seat to near him and argue with him. After the 15 minutes' group discussion, although there are also some questions uncertain ,I felt I deeply understand the article and questions. I have never experienced this type of study in class.
In middle school, when I have class, I sit on the fixed seat and what I need to do is just listen to the teacher. We will be given exactly right answer of all questions by teacher. If I have uncertain answer or own opinion about the course, I ask for my teacher after the class. Never to do group discussion in class even it may be seen as break rules. I simply believe the study is just get the final answer.
But now I have a totally new studystyle in class. I can share my classmates' opinions and debate on the argumentative question with other,this is encouraged in the class. In the group discussion, I donot have the correct answers first, I have to thinking deeply of the question because many other students may have different opinions with me. In my opinion, I really participate in the study and I got the great impression of this. I learned more than the answer.This is an really effective way of study.
Now I have started thinking about the study. The academic is very series,to ask teacher directly, we can got a very correct answer, but this is not study..To disscuss with others may not get the correct answer first but I could get more information from different perspectives. I want to know the other's opinion, and the others also want to know my idea. It may looks not series but it is true study .In the future study, what I concern are not only to get the final answer, but also to know more different perspectives of the course.
