１．A Gift (May 12, 2007)
Describe a gift that you recently gave to another person.
You should say:
what the gift was
who you gave it to
why you chose this particular gift
and explain whether this person liked this present or not. (= explain how much the person liked the gift.)
２． Art or Music (February 10, 2007)
Describe a piece of (= a work of) art or music that you like.
You should say:
what it is
what it looks like or sounds like
when you first saw or heard it
and explain why you like this work of art or music.
３．An Interesting Old Person (May 12, 2007)
Describe an interesting old person who you spoke to recently.
You should say:
who this person was
where you spoke to them (= him or her)
how long you have known this person
and explain what was interesting about this person.
４． A Place for Swimming (May 12, 2007)
Describe a place (near where you live) where people go to swim.
You should say:
where this place is
what this place looks like
what kinds of people go there
and explain why people choose to go to this place (instead of other places)*
５．Something You Lost (May 19, 2007)
Describe a time when you lost something.
You should say:
what you lost
when and where and you lost it
what you were doing at the time
and explain how you felt after you lost it.
６．An Ideal Park (June 2, 2007)
Describe the perfect park for a city.
You should say:
where it would be located in the city
what facilities it would have
what people would do in the park (or, what people would be able to do)
and explain why you think this would be the best kind of park for a city.*
