Gaining the Master Degree is not the only reason I want to attend your program. Much of what I know about the skills and experiences are extremely crucial in everyone’s work. Skills may include training gained from school or through jobs. My major is not Management, getting more relevant training is necessary to me, so I choose to be a manager's assistant during summer holiday. My work is to help the manager consummate the system of internal management. I also found some issues in their business. This program will better equip me to run a management team. I need learn about operations management, financial management and human resources, areas in which I had little experience. Besides giving me theoretical training, the Master education will strengthen the skills, such as communication in which I am lacking. Also, as business in this industry downsize, a greater emphasis is being placed on cross-functional abilities of executives. Though I have encountered many ideas through my studies as undergraduate and my experience in a company, I have had little contact with the operation side of business. The program would expose me to management and operating concepts with which I am unfamiliar. In short, I desire the holistic view of the business that the program would provide. Yet I realize I have only scratched the surface, and I would like to continue my education through your university's program.
In the past several years, my career goals have been defined and refined as my professional experiences have changed. I don’t want to become just an employee. I want to become an entrepreneur. And a successful entrepreneur needs to know everything of all the functional areas of business. Of course real-life experience may help me to succeed, but I don’t believe these can show me a prosperous business as fast as does learning on campus. Systematical learning in business, especially in management, will help me make better decisions later in my career. So a Master’s degree in management area is a must on my way to success.
