Nowadays, customers are facing increasing advertisements with the competition of different companies. To what extent do you think customers are influenced by advertisements? What measures can be taken to protect the customers?
Present, customers are facing growing advertisements done by various companies in diversified forms such as posts, printing and television advertisements. To be frank, I am convinced that people do be impacted by these. In the following paragraphs, I will make an elaboration on it and discuss what methods can be taken in order to protect the customers.
First and foremost, there are a large sum of evidence indicating the custiomers are influenced by commercial advertisements. According to the result of a survey held by an authoritative social organization, over 10% of audience will purchase certain products which are not necessary to them after watching the relevant advertisements for one week. Besides, providing that people can not be impacted, countless companies will not spend a large amount of money which eliminates their profits on advertisements.
Additionally, I argue that it is the governments’ resposibility to take measurements, so that the customers can be protected, in other words, governments should set up laws and regulations to limite certain advertisements which are not beneficial to people. For instance, smoking advertisement should be banned on all media, namely broadcasting, newspapers and television, since the product itself exerts a negative role on people’s health.
In conclusion, from what have been discussed above, it is apparent that nowadays people, to a large or small degree, are influenced by advertisements. And when it comes to the measures which can be taken to protect the customers, I claim that governments should shoulder their responsibility to set up laws and regulations making limitation on advertisements.
