Hello john, i am a student who is studying in ffice:smarttags" />laceType>UniversitylaceType> of laceName>Technology, Sydney in Malaysia, and i took ielts in IDP in 17th April in Malaysia, the speaking and writing examiner is the same lady who had tested me last year when i took ielts in first time. This time i have prepared all the topic and i practiced with my friend who got 7 in speaking for more than one week, i had improved a lot and my teacher who also is a ielts speaking examiner said i could get 6 before i took the exam, finally, i got 5 in speaking! Moreover, i performed well in the exam, on the writing side, i got 6 last time, and all practices wasn't less than 6,but i surprised to see that the writing part result is 5!! i am so angry with the examiner! Is the standard different between china and Malaysia for ielts? My classmate's friend who is working in IDP said the speaking examiners here are focusing the grammar, and if speaking part u can not get a good mark, the examiner will have a impression in marking ur writing essaies, so almost i saw my friends' result that the speaking part result is the same with the writing! Now i don't know what i can do, and how to face to the next exam, please help me and give some suggestion, thanks a lot
