hi john ,how are you recently ? haven't seen you for several days .still busy? yesterday,I met my American friend who learn chinese here ,Beijing ,he feel awful about his chinese stuties .he wonder how you did it , speaking chinese smoothly in short time . I told him that he should practice chinese with his friend,whether or not he is chinese , right ,? and then i told him your story ,you got big progress during practicing that with American guys. he didn't believe that . and another question ,what does the movie 's affection on English studies? john, as a famous teacher in Oriental school, is a busy guy, I really do not think he has enough time to correct your writing. furthermore, he is an roal teacher and only responsible for oral section. it is a little unfair and time-consuming to correct deal with written stuff.

yes ,you are right .         i thought the teacher and the student could make friends . may be i am wrong . whether or not foreigner or chinese , teachers are teachers, students are students. especially in this big and famous school.

Teachers and students can certainly be friends! Liliangliang is right, though, in saying that I don't have time to correct student essays.

As far as how movies affect your English... Well, movies are a wonderful way to be exposed to English. You can either watch movies just for fun, and learn passively, or you can watch movies actively, with the goal of improving your English.

Here are some things you can do to maximize your learning while watching movies:

-Turn off the subtitles.
-Write down words you don't know.
-Imitate after the speaker in the movie.
