In many countries women are not be able to join the army to share equal basis with men, but some people think women should be a member of the army, navy and air-force. To what extent do you agree or disagree.
This is supposed to be an enlightened age, but women are still treated unfairly in all fields in the world. There is sexual discrimination against women, particularly in the army. Women are not allowed to join in the army in many countries. However, some people advocate that army should admit women to be a member as men. For my part, I completely agree latter in the following reasons.
The first and most obvious reason is that women have the intelligence same as men. We can see there are so many outstanding successes achieved by women. Women appeared in the world as excellent scientists, presidents, lawyers, professors and so on. All of them made such numerous contributions to world. They proved their intelligence is equal and often superior to men in almost every field. So why don’t we believe that women can perform well in the army?
Apart from the intelligence, we have to recognize that women are more careful, patient and responsible. Be contrary to men’s incaution and roughness, women always notice more details of things and are able to find the more appropriate ways to cope with things. As we know that women cause far fewer accident than men. In the army, we also need characters of caution, patience and responsibility as bravery.
Finally, we must consider that women are also the citizens of the country. To defend own country is the obligation and right of every citizen. So women should be allowed to join in the army to share the basis with men.
Of course no one can deny that there is physical difference between women and men. Generally speaking, men are stronger than women and this causes men are more powerful in some aspects of war. But ‘every coin has two edges’, women may take appropriate positions, which do not need more power, and they may also make important contribution to army.
Taking into account of all the factors presented above, we may come to the conclusion that women, as an important part of our society, not only perform well in household and society, but also can play an important role in the forces.
